Catching up…

I’m still struggling to catch up with, well, my life after a crazy end of 2012/start of 2013.

My grandmother passed away on Christmas Eve and I had to make a trip to Michigan. While we were sad to see her go, it was her time and her pain and confusion are over.

Then the flu hit us. No fun. When my house was healthy again, I was finally able to have our big Girl Scout meeting when my girls presented their awesome research projects. It was great to see how my 4th graders learned to prepare their projects from start to finish. They did a fantastic job (and once I get a minute, I’ll put together a post on that process.)

And after that, I spent five amazing days in Seattle for ALA Midwinter. That’s a whole post in itself. I’m so thankful I was able to go this year and it only made me more excited about finishing school and getting my first professional library job.

But first I need to concentrate on catching up with school! I’m taking two interesting and very different courses this semester: Library Administration and Management and Software Productivity Tools for Information Professionals. I’m learning Kodu! And teaching it to my kids as I go along.
