Not a lot of news for Thursday, but, that teen blog is awesome.
Filling out social service forms, without digital literacy – On how libraries help their communities navigate the, for many people, overwhelming online world. As social service workers are cut, they are sending their clients online to find information and fill out forms. Chicago’s answer to the increase in digitally challenged patrons was to create a new position, a cyber navigator.
Library teen blog draws 500,000 views – This blog is great. I love the fact that this library is giving teens a chance to take ownership for this blog and be truly involved in the library. Plus, ukulele concert. I want to start something like this in my future librarian job.
